Global Accountability in Emergencies

Do you want to advise, support and build the policy capacity of the Humanitarian (HUM) group members and connect then to global policy platforms for advocacy? Then this is your chance!
The Global Accountability in Emergencies Advisor will advise, support and build the policy capacity of the HUM group members and connect them to global policy platforms for advocacy. This will entail advocacy and policy work as well as supporting on research around accountability in emergencies.
We expect you to:

Have a relevant higher education.
Have at least five years post graduate work experience in relevant subject field, including work experience from developing countries.
Have extensive hands on experience including implementation of projects and programmes/detailed knowledge of the content and application of the Grand Bargain commitments, key international standards relating to emergency work and humanitarian accountability.Have significant experience in networking, advocacy and policy work.
Have field experience in disaster environments.
Have experience of providing support and guidance across development programmes/projects – particularly in multi-country settings.
Have knowledge of media monitoring and advocacy.

We offer you

A two-year contract (please note that the Advisor may start the contract at the country of residence while waiting for work permit in Kenya).
A monthly salary of 2,834 Euro.
A pension with monthly employer’s contribution of 283 Euro and employee’s contribution of 87 Euro.
A relocation allowance of 667 Euro + 333 Euro per dependent.
A House Allowance of 900 Euro.
An Education Allowance up to 4,450 Euro per child.
