Job Specifications
Duties and responsibilities will entail:-
Formulating and implementing Information, Education and Communication policies and strategies;
Overseeing and coordinating daily operations;
Participating in creating and implementing organizational strategy;
Developing key performance goals;
Communicating strategy and results to the employees in the Directorate
Reporting key results to the Chief Executive Officer;
Engaging in key customer service activities;
Preparing the departmental budget and ensuring adherence to controls;
Overseeing the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility programs;
Collaborating with customers, Government, community organizations, and employees;
Enforcing ethical business practices;
Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards;
Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops;
Reviewing professional publications; and
Mentoring and guiding staff.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
A minimum period of twelve (12) years’ work experience and at least five (5) years in a relevant senior management role;
Masters degree in any of the following disciplines: Communications, Information Science, Entrepreneurship or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Communications, Information Science, Entrepreneurship or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
Certificate in leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
Membership in relevant professional body where applicable;
Proficiency in computer application;
Demonstrated competence in work performance; and
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
