Reporting to the Group CEO and Board of Directors, the incumbent will be responsible for assisting the CEO in the development of organization policies and goals that cover operations, personnel, financial performance, and growth of the functions and/or business units.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing short-term and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing program and its activities, monitoring progress, ensuring adherence, and evaluating the performance of all client accounts.
Developing, coordinating, and overseeing programs, technical assistance, and resource materials to assist departments in the marketing, communications, and positioning of their activities.
Developing and maintaining a strategic perspective, based on marketplace and constituent needs and satisfaction and ensuring the overall health and vitality of the organization.
Developing policy recommendations for the CEO’s action and providing highly responsible administrative support to the CEO.
Identifying business opportunities that will result in increased revenues and general growth of business.
Ensuring that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with the Labour laws and Employment Act.
Providing an in-depth analysis and reviewing the business regularly to help the Board make policy decisions and devise ways of achieving efficiency and economical business operations.
Providing the necessary leadership and guidance to all employees through mentoring and identification of best practices to enhance performance excellence.
Exercising direct supervision over assigned management personnel and ensuring that the team is adequately trained both in functional and behavioral aspects regularly.
Key Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, PR and Communication, Finance, or any other related field. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage. Professional accounting qualification i.e., CPA-K or ACCA.
MUST have prior experience working as a Brand/Marketing Manager or an Account Manager/Director at an agency.
A minimum of 8-10 years cognate work experience with at least 4 years in a management role in a reputable and structured business
Ability to network and form high-profile relationships with key people (government, regulatory bodies, and key customers).
Experience in preparing company budgets.
Exceptional leadership skills to motivate the entire company and lead by example
Excellent communication and networking skills and interaction with other people from the corporate world.
