We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Gender-Based Violence Trainer to join our team. The trainer will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs aimed at preventing and responding to gender-based violence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gender studies, human rights, or a related field, and practical experience in training and capacity building.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver comprehensive GBV training programs for diverse audiences, including community members, service providers, and law enforcement.
Create and update training materials, including manuals, presentations, and handouts.
Conduct needs assessments to tailor training programs to specific audience needs.
Facilitate workshops, seminars, and webinars on GBV prevention and response.
Collaborate with stakeholders to promote awareness and understanding of GBV issues.
Evaluate training effectiveness and make improvements based on feedback.
Stay updated on current trends, research, and best practices in GBV prevention and response.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Human Rights, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in GBV prevention and response, with at least 2 years in a training or capacity-building role.
Strong understanding of gender-based violence issues and human rights.
Familiarity with local, national, and international GBV laws and policies.
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
Ability to engage diverse audiences and adapt training methods to meet different learning needs.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience working with NGOs, international organizations, or government agencies will be a Plus
