Forklift/ Reach Truck Operator

Job Description

Forklift/ Reach Truck operator will be charged with the responsibility of ensuring the safe movement of commodities within the various warehouse locations.

Key Responsibilities

Load and offload stock as per the supervisor’s instructions.
Load stock into relevant allocated bin locations according to SOP.
Pick and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
Ensure safe handling of the Forklift/Reach Truck
Report any mechanical or other faults on the assigned equipment to the Supervisor
Maintain maintenance card for Forklift/Reach Truck
Ensure that the Forklift/Reach Truck is serviceable and in good working condition.

Minimum Qualifications

Be in possession of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
Hands-on experience operating Forklifts/Reach Trucks trucks for not less than 3 years in a supply chain or manufacturing set-up.
Be in possession of a valid driving/operator license .
Ability to work under minimum supervision.
Those with Certificates in First Aid or Occupational Safety and Health will have added advantage.
