Financial Controller

Role Overview:
Based in Mombasa (Kenya), the job holder is responsible for the preparation of all Kenya reporting and management information for all business entities assigned for review by the Financial Controller – Africa. The job holder shall develop and initiate system improvements, initiating change where required to enable optimal performance. 
Preparing forecasting, management accounts and narrative for assigned business entities
Preparing the quarterly forecast and annual budget submission
Responsible for the integrity of the entities nominal ledger
Cash management, reporting and forecasting for entities’ assigned
Preparing and presenting management information as and when required
Enhancing current management information to reflect changing needs of management and to drive the business forward
Implementation and maintenance of the accounting system
Assisting in improving, developing and monitoring controls
Producing and/or analysing detailed product costing and margin analysis within entities
Implementing and improving process and reporting through AX both with in Finance and other departments
Providing training to other team members and other operational departments as and when required
Providing cover and support to the department as and when needed
Additional Responsibilities
Promoting Hunting Health and Safety policies, and communicate effective awareness of the risks and hazards to all personnel and maintain controls necessary for their safety and that of others
Perform all duties in accordance with the Company’s Quality Procedures and work Instructions n order to deliver and maintain the highest standards of quality for all products and services
To develop self within role and participate in and develop from training and developmental activities assigned to oneself
To create and maintain good working relationships
Ad hoc duties as reasonably required from time to time
Work additional hours when required or requested
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Full Driving Licence
Knowledge and experience of an ERP system, ideally Microsoft AX
3 years’ experience in a similar role involving management reporting
Excellent working knowledge of MS Applications specifically Excel
Experience in preparation of annual statutory financial statements and statutory accounts
Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a Professional Accountancy Qualification
