Based in the head office and reporting directly to the CFO, you will have responsibility for the Accounting of group operations. You are enthusiastic about working on cross-functional initiatives to drive efficiency improvements in our current operations. It is an exciting position, demanding excellence in technical skills and a proven ability to work well in teams, deliver on deadlines and produce flawless work.
You will focus on all accounting aspects of the business. You will work closely with the business to support and directly contribute to its growth. You will collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams to manage financial risk, and develop and maintain scalable accounting processes to support new markets and new products.
Responsibilities
Review monthly financial data and ensure all monthly activity has been recorded and reconciled.
Provide financial results and analysis to senior management.
Manage outsourced service provider.
Define and document accounting policies and procedures. Ensure tax and financial compliance in all jurisdictions.
Review and evaluation of new and existing business contracts. Manage, train and guide a small team of local Finance Program Managers.
Minimum qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
CPA, CA or equivalent.
10 years of relevant work experience in finance/accounting.
Preferred qualifications
Experience working in a multinational firm, managing an accountancy/finance function.
Experience with the management of compliance requirements for entities in multiple jurisdictions.
Solid understanding of local accounting (IFRS) and US GAAP rules and process of month end close.
Strong project management, process improvement, computer and analytical skills.
Proven ability and enthusiasm to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment, and to lead and drive complex initiatives.
Attention to detail, organized and thorough with desire for continuous improvement, along with excellent analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgement and the ability to communicate with seasoned management.
