Finance & Operations Manager

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Finance and Operations Manager, located in Nairobi County in Kenya. The Finance and Operations Manager will work collaboratively with the Corporate Executive Team to develop and implement financial and operational strategies that ensure effective management of the organization’s resources. This includes hands-on financial planning and forecasting, budget management, cash flow, and financial reporting. In addition, the Finance and Operations Manager will oversee function leads for the day-to-day operational functions of the organization, including Human Resources, IT, and Facilities.

Qualifications

Required:

Professional qualification (CPA-K) in Accounting
Minimum of 8 years of diverse, generalist experience in financial and operations management, including experience in budget management, financial forecasting, and financial reporting
Track record coordinating operational aspects of HR, IT and Facilities functions
Demonstrated ability to lead people and teams
Strong communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex financial and operational concepts to non-financial stakeholders
Preference for a dynamic, flat and cross-cultural work environment
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and exposure to accounting software (QuickBooks and Xero preferred)
Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Preferred:

Experience working with both commercial and donor-funded programs preferred
Exposure to educational or skilling programs helpful.
