Job description
As the mTek Finance Manager for Kenya, your responsibilities will include overseeing end-to-end finance operations incl. of financial planning and analysis. You will collaborate with other departments, and report directly to our CFO. As an ambitious self-starter with proven analytical capabilities, a strategic mindset, and broad business experience. you’ll independently initiate, plan and implement new ideas in a fast-paced and competitive start-up environment.

Finance business partner to CEO/Business functions
Job Details
Prepare monthly Management Accounts
Cashflow Management (including tracking burn and runway)
Balance sheet reconciliations (including Bank Reconciliations)
Preparation and filling of monthly/annual taxes
Payroll Management
Coordinate and oversee annual audit process including statutory compliance
Oversee Credit Control
Actuals vs budget monitoring
Own the business’s internal control framework
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of five (5) years work experience in Finance preferably within the Insurance sector
Postgraduate Diploma in Finance
Solid understanding of the Kenyan Insurance ecosystem incl. its policies, other related products but also its regulatory requirements
Previous interaction within the Fintech sector is of advantage
Should have problem solving and decision making abilities
Excellent interpersonal skills and capable of performing as a team player and team leader
