ROLES & RESPOSIBILITIES
Financial planning and analysis: In collaboration with senior management, develop financial plans and strategies aligned with the organisation’s goals and objectives, conduct financial analysis and research to identify opportunities for growth, cost reduction and/or revenue enhancement and develop long-term financial plans, including capital budgeting, investment strategies and funding requirements.
Budgeting and forecasting: Lead the budgeting process, collaborating with departmental heads to develop accurate and achievable budgets, monitor actual financial performance against budgeted targets, provide periodic updates to management and prepare regular forecasts considering all the relevant internal and external factors.
Financial reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports and requisite insights to management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities, coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations in all financial reporting activities.
Cash flow management: Manage cash flow effectively to meet the organisation’s liquidity needs while optimizing working capital and evaluating investment opportunities and cash deployment strategies to maximize returns.
Risk management: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the organisation’s assets and ensure financial integrity and mitigate financial risks through proactive risk management strategies.
Strategic financial management: Assess the financial feasibility of strategic initiatives and optimize the capital structure and financing options to support business objectives.
Stakeholder management: Communicate the organisation’s financial performance, strategy, and objectives to investors, board members, senior management, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders, ensuring timeliness and transparency.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in financial management or related field, with at least four (4) years in a managerial role.
Proven experience in financial planning, modelling analysis and reporting.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements
Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills
