The main role and responsibility of this position is to provide support to finance office in execution of Kenya program. The Finance assistant will be responsible for supporting the financial and administrative management of grants to counties.
Responsibilities:
Provide effective support to Kenya country finance team in overseeing budget execution and monitoring in line with NI policies and procedures.
Raising operational payment requestsProcessing of travel authorization forms for NI Kenya staff
Follow up on staff to submit expense reports and review liquidation of travel advanceOn a weekly basis, prepare bank book for operation payments
Manage Kenya Office petty cash and prepare petty cash report at the end of month
Loading operational payments on bank platform and processing of participant refunds for various program activity meetings using bank Mpesa Platform
Send out requests for quotations for both corporate and program procurement using designated email boxes and prepare bids analysis
Effective cash flow management
Other relevant duties as assigned from time to time
About You;
You have;
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or equivalent with at least three to five years of working experience in finance, preferably in the development sector;
CPA II or equivalent professional qualification preferred
Interpersonal and people management skills
Competent IT skills, i.e. Word, Excel advanced, and Outlook, knowledge of NetSuite will be an advantage
Attention to detail
Ability to work under minimal supervision
Ability to work under pressure
Multi-tasking ability with an analytical and methodical approach.
High level of integrity, maturity and professionalism
