Key Responsibilities/Tasks
Reporting to the Department Chair, Cinematic Arts, the successful candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities;
Assist students with technical film projects.
Issue and manage equipment and facilities for film programs.
Manage film labs, sound booths and stores.
Ensure that film production equipment and facilities are in good order.
Manage acquisition, updating and renewal of film-making software.
Assist film production faculty during class sessions and special film projects.
Play an active role in film classification, festival submission and copyrighting processes.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Film Production from a recognized university. Other related areas such as Digital Arts, Broadcast Media, Interactive Media Design, Game Design and Development, Creative Arts or related discipline will be considered, if the applicant has had relevant work experience in the film industry.
At least two years’ experience working in a university or film industry, with tangible film outputs.
Excellent Skills in working with a variety of film-making software e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut, Final Draft, Davinci, Cinema4D, etc.
Good skills in video and audio production and post-production.
Personal Attributes & Competencies:
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and should be able to work under minimal supervision.Must have excellent interpersonal skills and should be able to work under minimal supervision.
Must have excellent organizational skills.
Knowledge of Animation and Game Design will be an added advantage.
