Our client in the manufacturing sector is looking for a highly motivated & self-driven Sales Representative to join our sales team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop innovative strategies to achieve sales goals, as well as make meaningful connections with our customers.

Job role

The position is primarily responsible for ensuring sales and marketing requirements of the company are met.

 Accountability/Reporting

The sales representative reports to the Sales and Marketing Manager.

Job roles and responsibilities 

Prospecting and attending to customers within the stipulated turnaround times.
Presenting thorough and correct product and solutions information to customers for accurate decision making.
Advising on the available types of products and our solutions then recommending the ideal option for each customer.
Preparing sales quotations, confirming customer payments, processing the respective customer invoices and filling in customer orders for production.
Following up on production of customers’ orders, preparing their delivery notes and ensuring correct and complete order quantities are dispatched.
Maintain proper record of all customers attended to. 
Undertaking of Market intelligence continuously.
Plan sales growth in line with company business objective
Identify prospective customers, through planning and organizing a call schedule and client visits.
Tracking routine activities and updating workplan/schedules daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
Monitoring and reporting market competition by regularly assessing pricing dynamics, new products and all other trade activities.
Any other role that may be assigned by the management.

Requirements and skills

Degree/Diploma in sales & marketing or any other business-related field
Professional training in sales and marketing will be an added advantage
Highly developed communication, selling presentation and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Ability to listen
Ability to network
Self-motivate, high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
Possess personal qualities of integrity and empathy.
Customer service skills and ability to handle/solve problems
A sales experience background in the construction industry will be an added advantage
High level of numerical, analytical and problem-solving ability
Ability to work under minimal supervision
Sales experience minimum one year
Computer applications literacy
