Field Officers – 2 Positions

Position Summary

We are seeking to hire two Field Officers to support our Women in Climate Entrepreneurship (WiCE) Accelerator Program. One Field Officer will be stationed in Kisumu, and the other in Uasin Gishu. The primary responsibilities of the Field Officers will be to mobilize entrepreneurs, provide training support, assist with logistics and coordination, and conduct in-person advisory sessions with selected entrepreneurs post-training to ensure their continued success.

Qualifications

Mobilizing and recruiting entrepreneurs for the WiCE Accelerator Program in the designated region.
Scoping for training venues as per training requirements.
Providing on-the-ground support during training sessions, workshops, and other program activities.
Assisting with logistical arrangements, including venue setup, equipment procurement, and participant registration.
Coordinating with program organizers, trainers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of activities.
Conducting in-person advisory sessions and support with virtual sessions as well,  with selected entrepreneurs post-training to provide ongoing support and guidance..
Collecting feedback from participants and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and optimization of program delivery.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to program activities, participant attendance, and advisory sessions.
Submitting monthly reports detailing program activities, participant progress, challenges encountered, and recommendations for improvement.
Representing the organization professionally and ethically in all interactions with participants, partners, and the community.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, entrepreneurship, development studies, or a related field.
Proven experience in community mobilization, event coordination, or similar roles, preferably within the entrepreneurship or development sector.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in training, business advisory, or consultancy, preferably within the waste management, circular economy, or entrepreneurship sectors.
Demonstrated expertise in areas such as business model development, financial literacy, sustainable operations, regulatory compliance, and pitching skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Familiarity with the local context and networks in the designated region is highly desirable.
Proficiency in local languages spoken in the region is an advantage.
Fluency in English and Swahili.
