Job Purpose
As the plant director, the person would have full responsibility, oversight and accountability of the factory’s manufacturing team which includes Production, Engineering and Safety, Quality, Manufacturing Supply Chain, Human Resources and Finance. It is critical in this role that the individual have the ability to lead, coach and in manage very diverse group of individuals with varied backgrounds and levels of experience in manufacturing.
The individual in the key role in the organization will be required to execute planning, scheduling, budgeting, process improvement and daily operations of the factory. The person will be held accountable to uphold quality standards, consistent processes and ensure optimal service rates are met.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the resources (time, quality, costs) needed to supply standard or newly launched finished goods in accordance with short and medium term (targets, 3-year plan, budget)
Be responsible for meeting commitments
Ensure safety of people and property, be the lead example and mouth piece for the Group’s sustainable development policy
Lead the Factory Management Committee and through them construct a process of improvement for all teams
Make sure the safety and health, quality systems are applied and are effective by running the plant’s steering committees
Oversee industrial relations in liaison with the Human Resources team

Qualifications, Training And Experience
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Chemistry (Applied Natural Science)
Master’s in Business (added advantage/ plus)
Minimum of 8-10 experience as a Plant Director/ Senior Leadership in Factory Management
