Factory Manager

Operations Management:

Plan, coordinate, and oversee all operations within the factory.
Develop and implement production schedules to meet output targets.
Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to ensure timely delivery of products.

Quality Control:

Ensure all macadamia products meet company and industry quality standards.
Implement and maintain quality control systems.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production process.
Conduct after sales service to the client within fourteen (14) days after delivery to the port destination.

Staff Management:

Recruit, train, and supervise factory staff.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to employees.
Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff.

Health and Safety:

Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular safety training sessions for employees.

Equipment and Maintenance:

Oversee the maintenance and repair of factory equipment.
Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule.
Coordinate with external service providers for specialized equipment repair.

Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely supply of raw materials.
Implement inventory control systems to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.

Budget Management:

Prepare and manage the factory’s budget.
Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Report financial performance to senior management.

Process Improvement:

Identify areas for improvement in the production process.
Implement lean manufacturing techniques to increase efficiency.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement among staff.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and standards.
Maintain necessary certifications and licenses.
Prepare for and manage external audits and inspections.

Communication:

Liaise with other departments, such as sales and logistics, to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate with senior management regarding production issues and developments.
Represent the factory in meetings with external stakeholders.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production management role, preferably in the food processing industry.
Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and health and safety standards.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficient in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
