Experienced Executive Assistant Associate Consultant Economist

Our client, a public finance management advisory services firm in Nairobi, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in managing the schedules and operations of the managing director and team members. The ideal candidate should thrive in a challenging and evolving environment, where your depth and breadth of experience will be put to the test. As the firm continues to develop and refine its organizational structures, they need a self-starter who can adapt and excel in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

Efficiently manage and coordinate the managing director’s schedules, appointments, and meetings.
Act as a gatekeeper, screening and prioritizing communications and requests.
Prepare and distribute meeting minutes and other relevant documentation as directed for internal and external use.
Coordinate travel arrangements and itineraries for managing director and other team members.
Assist in organizing company events and meetings.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Where necessary, proactively identify and address operational inefficiencies, suggesting improvements.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth communication and execution of tasks.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or any related field.
Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar role.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in office software and tools, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations and solve problems independently.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
Previous experience in a startup or evolving work environment is a plus.
