Job Function
Lead the development and execution of the tactical People and Culture (P&C) strategy at Surgipharm in collaboration with the Vice President: People & Culture: MA Healthcare and Managing Director Surgipharm. Implement and monitoring programmes that will improve productivity and inculcate a performance culture throughout the operating company, whilst keeping employees engaged and motivated.
Key performance areas
Partner with P&C colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of services.
Implement the people and culture strategy and plans within an operating company, focusing on areas such as leadership capability, workforce performance (Focus Me), employee engagement, and talent management
Design and monitor programmes that will improve productivity and inculcate a performance culture throughout the company, whilst keeping employees engaged and motivated.
Drive the people and culture agenda within the operating company.
Deliver and evaluate P&C services delivered to the operating company
Partner and / or consults with business leaders in the deployment of relevant people and culture strategies in key areas in P&C (Talent Management, IR/ER, HRD/OD, Compliance)
Deploy the people and culture agenda in the operating company based on a detailed understanding of operating company activities including:
Workforce Planning (Annual Recruitment Plan)
Succession Planning ( Strategic Talent Reviews)
Monitor Trends based on queries (Advise Centres of Excellence on the Diagnostics)
Drive Engagement (Review Plans)
Line Management Empowerment (Policy Workshops etc.)
Co-create interventions and solutions for the operating company in liaison with P&C CoE but not limited to diversity & inclusion amongst others
Project Manage strategic P&C interventions such as change management
Interpret P&C data and provide analysis that is relevant and meaningful to the operating company i.e. reporting on key people metrics, planning, developing and executing suitable solutions to address relevant insights / challenges.

Qualifications required
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
Experience required
8 years experience in a similar environment, with at least 5 years People & Culture leadership experience.
Experience in African Markets will be an advantage.
