Events Coordinator

About the role:
Roam is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Event Coordinator to join our dynamic Marketing Team. The Event Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and representation of Roam at various events, exhibitions, and activities. This role requires a detail-oriented, proactive, and organized individual who can work closely with the Events Manager, marketing team, and external partners to deliver memorable experiences that align with Roam’s brand values and goals.
Key Duties and responsibilities

Collaborate closely with the Events Manager to execute event plans and ensure seamless coordination.
Take ownership of event-related tasks and to-do lists, ensuring all aspects are meticulously planned and executed.
Manage communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all event elements are arranged and prepared effectively.
Assist in procuring necessary resources and financing for events, maintaining a clear financial overview for each event.
Create and manage event budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
Oversee the production and distribution of event materials, both before and after events, including printing flyers, brochures, banners, and more.
Scout and secure appropriate event locations that align with Roam’s brand and objectives.
Digitize and organize collected email addresses and contact information from events for marketing purposes.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for both internal and external events to ensure consistency and quality.
Represent Roam at events, exhibitions, and panel discussions, showcasing the company’s products and values.
Conduct facility tours at Roam Park to visitors, providing insights into our operations and values.
Conduct interviews on behalf of Roam for various purposes.

Qualifications and experience

Proven experience in event planning and coordination is essential.
Strong affinity with online marketing and the ability to work closely with the marketing team.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Swahili, with the ability to articulate Roam’s values and offerings effectively.
A friendly, proactive, and independent individual who can also excel in a collaborative team environment.
Passion for electric mobility (Emobility) and a genuine interest in contributing to a sustainable future.
Familiarity with the East African market and Kenyan culture is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple tasks simultaneously.
Flexibility to attend events physically, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
