The environmentalist will be responsible for all environmental matters in the Board area of jurisdiction and will report to the General Manager- Technical Services.
Job Description Carrying out site assessments, conducting technical audits and evaluating the environmental impact of an organisation’s Technical operations
Making recommendations on essential clean-up, reclamation and waste management activities that needs to be undertaken to solve the current problem and prevent similar issues recurring in the future.
Assessment of how a site complies with environmental regulations, and using mathematical techniques and computer modelling to assess or forecast past, present and future environmental problems.
Design, development, testing and implementing of technical solutions which will assist the Board actively reduce their negative impact on the environment.
Job Specifications
A Bachelors of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering or its equivalent
A Masters degree in a related field will be an added advantage
Registered Lead Expert on Environmental Impact Assessment with NEMA
Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in a busy office preferably public sector
Demonstrate administrative and managerial capability in work performance and must be result oriented.Must be a person of high integrity
