Scope of the work
Leowa seeks qualified individuals to carry out household interviews and facilitate focus group discussions with a sample of farmers in the value chains. The scope of work for this TOR shall include but not limited to:
Consenting and enrolment of study participants/ respondents;
Collaborative engagement with key stakeholders, including farmer group leaders, local administration, among others, during the data collection exercise;
Quantitative data collection using hand held devices (mobile technology).
Qualifications for the Enumerator
Must be a graduate. Qualification in agriculture, social science or community development related field is an added advantage.
Must be a resident of either of the counties and is willing to work in the county.
Experience in conducting participative or action based research.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of the local language.
Knowledge of spoken and written English.
Proven ability to work with farming communities.
Must own an android phone with a battery life that can last a whole day, a memory card and power back up.
Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience in data collection using mobile technology
Must be available immediately and fully committed and available to undertake the study to mid-March.
