Key Responsibilities:
Leading strategy development through a series of collaborative discussions with four technical partners in Africa.
Lead the delivery and program implementation strategy, with the overall regional and global strategic frameworks.
Overseeing the woman’s cooperative program implementation in Kenya.
Represent the women’s cooperative to authorities, donors, partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
Accountable for ensuring that the cooperative’s day-to-day operations are delivered in a safe and secure way.
Have overall accountability for the cooperative’s security, including development of and ensuring adherence to security procedures, monitoring of the safety situation, analyzing and provision of recommendations.
Have overall accountability for the cooperative’s policy adherence
Provide overall budget monitoring.
Ensure that allocated resources are managed effectively and transparently by respecting and meeting all legal requirements.
Ensure that required and efficient Supply Chain structures and processes are in place.
Demonstrates the ability to coach and hold accountable all cooperative members.
Qualifications:
University Degree in a relevant field.
5+ years of professional experience setting up women’s cooperatives and revolving funds in Kenya.
5+ years building capacity.
Experience launching new investments, building successful partnerships, or bringing existing services to scale.
Experience managing and developing other leaders.
Capacity to drive toward results in a dynamic and fluid work context.
Capacity to identify risks and develop thoughtful mitigation strategies.
Fluency in using data to make decisions.
Capacity to both develop high-level strategies and work with others to develop detailed operational plans.
