Job description
Key Objectives:

Manage a team of 3 officers and 129 University chapter leaders
Coordinate a University Chapters program with…..(number of scholars in Uni) scholars in local Universities and TVET institutions
Coordinate the facilitation of structured leadership and professional development trainings for Equity scholars in all University and TVET chapters
To provide support to scholars engaged in marketing Equity Bank products e.g. Eazzy Biz and Equitel products.
Manage Equity business risk as a result of engaging the scholars
Oversee the management and continuous updating of the scholars and alumni database

Job Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

Facilitate and conduct professional, leadership and entrepreneurship training for all scholars joining university chapters
Conduct semester refresher training for all the continuing scholars
Facilitate Agency training and recruitment sessions to allow scholars promote Equitel products and services
Develop a rubric to identify scholar training needs so they can professionally represent Equity while engaging customers
Plan and conduct at least 1 soft skills training on interpersonal skills, marketing and financial management
Manage scholar branch/agent relationship to ensure customers approached are connected to respective Agents/Branches for follow up
Respond to scholar queries on challenges experienced in the field curriculum
Sharing technical challenges experienced with relevant teams in the Bank
Ensure Equity Bank’s reputational risk is upheld with scholars observing Equity values to protect the brand.
Analyze and monitor all data on account’s and/or sim cards issued by scholars to ensure there are no fraudulent activities
Develop an analytics rubric to continuously monitor business risk as a result of engaging the scholars
Supervise the maintenance and updating of the database of all new, continuing and graduating scholars in local Universities and TVET institutions all over Kenya
Head the formation of an active alumni group providing peer mentorship to the younger scholars and engaged in Equity bank group activities
Monitor the annual chapters elections for new chapter leaders
Sign off all recommendation letters for all chapter leaders upon completion of their service
Head the facilitation of at least one give back project a year and facilitate this and make sure it is done

Qualifications:

Masters’ Degree in any field
Former Equity Chapter member/leader or Wings to Fly Branch Champion will be an added advantage
Strong writing and communications skills
Strong public speaking abilities
Data Analysis skills
Competent with data collection and analysis software
Competent with presentation software
Strong organizational skills and a commitment to developing the leadership potential in university-level scholars
