We are looking for an Experienced Electrical Projects Maintenance Engineer who will lead and support the design, implementation, and maintenance of compliant electrical systems. The successful candidate should have a very keen understanding of structural and electrical engineering concepts, and the candidate must have a Valid EPRA Class B Electrical certification or above.
Highlighted Responsibilities:
Lead the Company’s Electrical Projects Maintenance function in providing both reactive and pro-active, multi-skilled Electrical maintenance services.
To plan, assign resources, execute, supervise, and keep records of assigned Company Electrical Maintenance projects.
Actively lead the implementation of the Company’s Health & Safety Policy as well as Quality Compliance by monitoring, reviewing, and ensuring all assigned Projects are executed safely as well as arranging increased supervision for new staff to minimize Risks.
Increase Assigned Projects’ operational effectiveness, improve on project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime reduction, and manage and implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) ensuring that Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
Contribute to the creation and implementation of the Company’s best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance on ALL assigned projects.
Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing Electrical Maintenance team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value, and continuous improvements.
Maintains Record of All Project assets and facilities, parts inventory, monitoring purchase requisitions, and reimbursement approvals, and assists in managing the allocated Project budget.
Any other allocated duty by the Company Management.
Minimum Requirements:
Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
MUST have at least 7 Years’ experience in both INSTALLATION, SERVICING, AND MAINTENANCE OF ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS AMONG OTHER ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING tasks as well.
Valid EPRA Class B Electrical Certification or above.
MUST be registered with EBK as a Graduate Engineer.
Must have at least 2 to 3 years of proven experience in a supervisory capacity.
MUST have vast exposure working with Electrical Power Supply Systems, Electronics, and Control Systems, preferably in the Oil and gas Sector.
Must be able to Create, review, and modify project drawings in AutoCAD and custom software tools.
Coordinate with Site Surveyors, Project Management, Electricians, and Sales teams to complete projects according to customers’ expectations within strict deadlines.
Complete electrical and structural designs within a production-based environment.
Research, document and comply with local and national codes and requirements in project jurisdictions.
Create project bills of quantities.
Utilize software systems to record progress and logs of various tasks.
Organizing photos and documentation for each project.
Coordinate meetings with HSEQ, Procurement, electrical, and roofing teams in preparation for upcoming projects.
Communicate with procurement to ensure project-related equipment is procured prior to construction.
After construction, provide support as required to create as-built drawings for the commissioning & service team and take projects to close.
Having a Valid Driving License is an added advantage.
