Electrical Engineer

The electrical engineer will be charge of ensuring minimal machine down time and also responsible for proactively identifying repair jobs and allocating them to staff taking advantage of the shut downs due to power failure or grade changes.
Duties of the job:
Ensuring downtime due to electrical/mechanical downtime is up to a maximum allowed.
Plan, co-ordinate and facilitate repair of the downtime.
Fill out daily equipment checklists to judge the “health” of equipment, bearings, motors, etc.
Data management and reporting
Management of 5Ms (men,machine,material,measurement and methods)
Allocate jobs to personnel in their departments, guide, monitor and ensure jobs are done to the quality standards required
Have a proactive approach and ensure repairs identified are done before machine breakdowns
Design and develop electrical equipment, including electric motors, machinery controls, lighting, and wiring in buildings, radar and navigation systems, communications systems; and power generation, control, and transmission devices used by electric utilities.
Qualifications
A diploma/degree  in electrical engineering
Practical technical experience in a busy manufacturing set up for at least three years
Good communication and organisational skills
Must have the ability to handle pressure and work with minimal supervision
Excellent in problem-solving
