PURPOSE:
The driver trainer is responsible for providing classroom and on the road training to internal and client drivers on routine vehicle maintenance, vehicle operating & maneuvering techniques, product knowledge and safe vehicle operation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Train drivers on procedures of inspecting and operating all vehicle models
Train clients and conduct field demonstrations with different vehicle models
Conduct product training to customers and internal drivers
Perform on-road tests and evaluate driver’s talent
Drive car carriers & any other vehicle assigned by the supervisor
Maintain & utilize databases of driver qualifications and training schedule
Attend training sessions when required
Plan and conduct refresher training for company drivers
Follow-up with client drivers on new vehicle performance
Academic Qualifications
High school certificate
Driving qualifications for commercial & articulated vehicles
ICT skills.
Experience
10 years experience in heavy commercial driving
Skills
Good organization, coordination and report writing skills
Good communication and computer literacy
Customer service and public relations skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities
