About the RoleAs the DOC Regional Sales Manager, you will spearhead our efforts to expand Day Old Chick sales in Kenya. Your key responsibilities will include:
Developing and Executing Sales Strategy
Take charge of formulating and executing the DOC sales strategy tailored to specific regions and customer engagement levels.
Ensuring Product Availability
Oversee the availability of poultry farming inputs in our poultry centers and one-stop shops across the region.
Effective Debt Management
Manage debts incurred during sales, ensuring they remain within acceptable debtor days.
Depot Operations Oversight
Supervise depot operations, ensuring smooth logistics and distribution.
Technical Support and Training
Provide technical support and facilitate continuous training for customers, farmers, and the DOC Sales teams within your assigned regions.
Market Intelligence
Build and maintain organizational market intelligence to stay ahead of the competition.
Stakeholder Relations
Forge and nurture strategic relationships with customers, stakeholders, and business units.
Delivering Outstanding Customer Service
Champion the delivery of consistent, seamless, and trusted customer service to enhance customer retention and loyalty.
Industry Expertise
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the industry landscape.
Collaboration with Marketing
Collaborate closely with our marketing team on sales, promotional, and merchandising activities.
Compliance and Team Leadership
Enforce compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing team.
Candidate’s ProfileQualifications:
Most preferred: Degree in animal science, animal production, or agribusiness. Candidates with Business Administration, Marketing, Agriculture, or a business-related field with prior animal feed experience are also welcome.
5 years of experience in a similar sales role within the animal nutrition and animal health sector.
Proven experience in strategy development and managing sales teams.
Track record of expanding into new geographies and markets.
A valid Driver’s License, with a special preference for those with experience driving pick-up trucks.
Willingness to travel extensively, covering over 80% of your time.
