Key Responsibilities
Manage the daily scheduling of drivers and ensure delivery targets are met.
Communicate with drivers and customers throughout the delivery process.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
Responsible for meeting on-time performance requirements.
Resolve transportation problems with urgency and professionalism.
Record and document information from drivers and distribute it to appropriate departments.
Develop and implement dispatch strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Monitor driver performance and provide feedback to improve service delivery.
Conduct regular audits of dispatch and logistics processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve customer satisfaction.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints, providing solutions and ensuring a high level of customer service.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by management.
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in logistics/supply chain/transportation function or business-related course.
Must have integrity with high morals and professional ethical values.
Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a dispatch and logistics manager for the logistics sector.
Must have thorough knowledge of logistics operations procedures & processes.
Demonstrated excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work under pressure while meeting strict deadlines.
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be self-driven, focused and goal oriented which includes ability to work remotely.
Able to work in a variable shift pattern with hours that may vary according to operational need.
