Job Description:
The incumbent should be a well-networked individual with high-level executive business development skills in the online/education sector in Kenya. This individual will be tasked with growing these partnerships through first class relationships and service; thoughtful strategy and planning; management and oversight of operational matters; and the expansion of the universities’ online portfolio through new programme acquisition for our client in the online education space.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong and sound relationships with partner universities – especially at an executive and management level (across business streams)
Solidify relationships through trust, integrity, excellent verbal and face-to-face communication skills, frequent visits, meaningful input and humility
Oversee the launch of new on-line programs across faculty areas
Manage and oversee the university account as the ‘go-to’ custodian
Provide strong leadership, direction and input on relevant strategic and operational university and partnership matters
Ensure portfolio expansion through the planning and growth of new on-line programs
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field; master’s degree preferred
10+ years of work experience and proven track record in business development, account management and/or building strategic partnerships, with universities
Experience in higher education with online education being proffered
Experience in dealing with high-level executives
Strong executive presence with excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to self-direct and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Exceptional time management skill and ability to manage multiple projects
Contractual Information:
Based in Kenya and able to work remotely for the time being
