Director, People & Culture

This leadership role will require a deep understanding of startup culture, experience in fast-growing environments, and a passion for making a lasting impact in emergency response.

Expand performance management systems to align individual and team goals with the company’s objectives.
Implement regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to enhance overall productivity.
Deploy data-driven and KPI-driven assessments and monitoring to ensure performance-driven culture.
Build out the relevant HR functions, including but not limited to performance-based compensation policies, performance tracking and assessment procedures, employee onboarding, performance-based incentives and benefits, and employee goal alignment.
Coach and develop existing leaders while identifying and nurturing emerging leaders toward goal-alignment, performance-based culture and processes.
Encourage a collaborative and supportive environment that fosters the company’s values and culture.

Requirements

Proven experience in a People/Talent leadership role within a start-up or fast-growing organization, preferably in the technology sector.
Experience working in an international setting with teams distributed across countries and domains.
Strong understanding of performance management strategies and proven track record of talent development and alignment around business objectives.
Solid understanding and experience in goal-driven and performance-driven environments, frameworks and processes.
Proven experience capturing and using data to analyze performance. Ability to set up necessary data-capture systems for effective performance tracking.
Excellent coaching skills.
Demonstrated experience in building and managing diverse teams.
A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on results and continuous improvement.
Knowledge of relevant labor laws and regulations.
