A Bit About The Role
The business is looking for a Director of Sales for Financial Solutions in Africa who can help them achieve their ambitious target in Africa and increase the business through Banks, Financial Institute or FinTech’s. As one of the leaders, you will be responsible for driving the Enterprise Business (non-Telco) in the region
Requirements

Your mission:

Lead the Sales efforts of the region with focus only on the Banking and Fintech segment in Africa. Key solutions that the candidate would be responsible for – Digital Banking, Mobile Wallet, Digital Lending, Real Time Marketing Analytics, Loyalty Management & CRM
Managing more than $5 Mn Annual Order Book Accounts
Generate and close new leads in the (Banking & Financial Services Institution) BFSI segment in the region
Development of relationships with key decision-makers/influencers, CXOs, senior executives within prospect organisations
Determine qualified leads through evaluation of prospect requirements and development of a concise understanding of prospects’ decision-making processes and criteria
Coordinate product demonstrations and workshops for perspective clients
Demonstrate customer-specific benefits of products with a high degree of proficiency
Analyse and understand customer insights and market trends and work with backend BD/Product management team to deliver solutions
Proactively own the entire sales process and be able to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Revenue Targets: Overall, responsible for ensuring that order booking and other sales target are met
Client Relationship: Ensure Customer Satisfaction is high in the region, driving the CSAT target for the entire region by engaging with the clients and ensuring highest levels of service from the MFS products
Collections: Overall, responsibility of ensuring collections and payments from the accounts handled in the region
Internal stakeholder management: Work collaboratively to drive efficiencies with internal teams of the organisation (Product teams, Channel Sales, Delivery organisation etc) and create win-win situations while handling customer engagement on the ground

A Bit About You

Functional

More than 8 years of sales experience with a proven track record of accomplishment in the Solution/Product Selling to Banks or Financial Institutions or FinTech’s
Strong industry/CXO level connects in Banking and/or Financial Services Industry Software in East Africa
Go-getter and Entrepreneurial. Be a “Hunter” rather than a “Farmer”
Experience of working in environments where the sales process involves multiple tiers of engagements and where the sales cycles are long and consultative
Personal
Self-motivated individual who can go out and create new business and preferably has a network in financial markets in Africa
Pleasant persona with good networking ability
Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Strong strategic/business acumen coupled with execution capability
Excellent communication skills, matured in conduct and command
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Fluent in English. French fluency will be an added advantage
