ABOUT INSTITUTE OF HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT:
The Institute of Healthcare Management (IHM) plays a pivotal role in advancing and strengthening healthcare research within SBS. The Institute is committed to designing and executing world-class academic and executive training programs, fostering excellence in healthcare leadership, management, and policy development.
Additionally, the Institute actively secures scholarships and PhD training slots and engages in various ongoing and inception-stage research projects and publications. These initiatives are made possible through close collaboration with leading universities, donors, and research institutes locally and internationally.
JOB PROFILE:
Reporting to the Associate Dean, Research and Innovation in SBS, the appointed candidate will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the Institute. This includes setting the strategic direction, providing academic vision, and overseeing all administrative functions.
The appointee must be a senior researcher and faculty with a distinguished academic career, possessing a strong and extensive publication record in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals of international repute. They should demonstrate expertise in securing substantial external research grants. The candidate should currently be managing multiple active research projects with a proven track record of successful grant applications and effective funding utilization. In addition, they must have held senior leadership positions in academic institutions and industry, with a proven track record in managing research institutes, centers, or large research programs.
The appointee must have a strong background in teaching and mentoring, with a proven track record of supervising Master’s and Ph.D. students to successful completion, ensuring their academic and research development. They should have actively organized, participated in, or presented at major international and national conferences, workshops, and symposia related to their expertise, contributing to academic discourse, knowledge dissemination, and professional networking.
