Role Overview
MESPT is offering an internship opportunity for a young university graduate interested in Digital Marketing. The purpose of this exercise is to provide an opportunity for the graduate to apply the academic skills acquired, in a real work environment; in the development, designing, and implementing digital communication outreach content and promotional campaigns to boost brand engagement and enhance awareness.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work alongside the Corporate Communication team to create a plan for social media strategies monthly.
Assist in the growth of the brand by raising awareness through various social media platforms
Monitor postings to ensure brand message is constant from the terminology used to images posted
Aid in the daily aspects of promoting the businesses campaigns
Interact with followers and potential customers by communicating and answering questions through the company’s social pages
Assist in implementing plans to increase followers on popular social media websites such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn
Compiling and distributing monthly news stories
Compile MESPT’s work/ initiatives to a quarterly e-newsletter
Assist with the design and execution of social media content
Help create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos and press releases on social media and traditional news outlets
Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
Provide regular feedback on insights gained from digital/social media engagement.
Support corporate communications and technical team to livestream events online
Support in placing online/ digital adverts when need arises.
Qualifications
Must have successfully completed their undergraduate degree in public relations, journalism, marketing, or related field, completed within the last two years.
Knowledge and exposure in digital marketing.
Knowledge of video and picture editing.
Familiar with multi-social posting through programs such as Hootsuite and HubSpot.
Comfortable with working with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites.
General knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and internet ranking for web content.
Demonstrable skills in analytical thinking, communication, and research;
Excellent knowledge of English with fluency in speaking, reading, and writing.
Ability work alongside a diverse group of employees and simultaneously work toward many company initiatives at once.
To diligently perform your duties, these responsibilities will require a flexible approach including working outside the usual working hours. The suitable candidate should be prepared to perform other additional duties if called upon to do so.
Terms of Appointment:
Duration of the internship is three months. The successful intern is required to work full-time during office hours.
