The DevOps Manager (DM) is responsible for the health of our infrastructure. As an expert, DE delivers solutions that provide automated configuration and scaling of our architecture. As a CI/CD advocate DE proposes and implements tools that automate and streamline our development and deployment processes, enforce industry standards and best practices, increase effectiveness of Tala’s team members, and reduce risks of human errors.
The Manager DevOps must be passionate about improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction through working collaboratively with groups across the enterprise (engineering, hosting, services, cyber security, etc.) to drive quality and speed of innovation. This role will be recommending actions, processes, and shifts that will result in KPI and operational improvements. This individual works under the direction of the DevOps Director.
What You’ll Do
Identifies, assesses, and solves complex technical problems, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, and applies various tool and automation solutions to drive frequent and quality solutions for an enterprise platform.
Ability to collaborate and coordinate across multiple disciplines to deliver aligned solutions meeting multiple complex needs that ultimately delivers a world-class experience to Tala customers Works with developers and management to develop plans and implement delivery pipelines.
Design, document, automate and support CI/CD pipelines promoting code across R&D and operationally critical environments.
Work with cybersecurity to ensure secure practices and policies are woven into every aspect of operations.
Evaluate and evangelize forward-looking processes, tools and technologies that help deliver high-quality secure software faster and more efficiently.
Building and maintaining the container platform (Kubernetes)
You can expect to build greenfield projects, mitigate some amount of Legacy infrastructure, and participate in on-call rotation
You will mentor, teach, and guide others as we strive to develop successful independent teams that tackle problems in an efficient and cost effective manner
What You’ll Need
5 years of experience in managing application development, software delivery lifecycle, and/or infrastructure development and administration
Minimum of 5 years’ design and implementation of Continuous Delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecture patterns.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment & management using tools like Jenkins, SVN, Git, Ansible, Artifactory, Service Now, Sonar, Selenium
Minimum of 5 years of experience with approaches and tooling for automated build, delivery and release of software
Minimum of 5 years’ experience with managing large teams including progress monitoring and reporting
Minimum of 5 year of experience working in an Agile delivery environment
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in automation scripting using one or more of the following languages: Perl, Ruby, Bash, or Python
