Main objective of the position and Tasks Description (not limited)

Development of a solar PV portfolio of large scale projects. Drive the projects to planning application and consent. Deal with local stakeholders (landowners, DNOs, offtakers, EPC and O&M suppliers) to build a suitable business case for these projects in the context of a move towards subsidy free power plants.
Engineer these project to optimize there return by accommodating solar PV generation and storage.
Establish relationship with potential partners to finance and build these projects.
Originate new projects to enhance the portfolio in the Kenya.

Education and Technical Skills Level

Experience in developping renewable assets in the Kenya
Have excellent planning and organisational skills
Driven and self-motivated with strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness
Track record in successful delivery of projects, including land negotiation, grid connection negotiation, planning consent, PPA negotiation, engineering and construction monitoring.
Awareness of Health and Safety rules and culture applicable for renewable asset development and construction.

Required Soft Skills (autonomy level, responsibility level, accuracy, interpersonal skills

Wide network of relationship in the field of renewables
Good understanding of the financial drivers in the renewable business.
Strong ability to report to an international organization with transverse skills.
Ability to manage staff and external consultants with people skills.
