Requirements
A Masters degree in the relevant field with at least 15 years post qualification experience administrative work, five (5) of which must have been served at the level of Senior Assistant Registrar grade 13 (Council Secretariat)

A relevant Bachelors degree from a recognized University
Must be a registered member of a recognized professional body
In addition all applicants must be proficient in computer applications packages
Postgraduate diploma in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
A PhD in relevant field will be an added advantage
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall and smooth running of all Council matters
Advice Council on all matters concerning the various administrative and academic departments within the University
Responsible for setting and implementation of PC targets for Council
Responsible for the adherence to the Quality Management Standards (QMS) for the implementation of the performance management system for Council
Responsible for timely submission of reports to Council
Responsible for the formulation and implementation of the strategic plan
Ensure effective and efficient implementation and execution of the management policies decided by the Council
Manage all Council and Council Committee meeting logistics, attend and record minutes of all meetings and facilitate Council communications;
Manage and respond to correspondences directed to the Council, the Chairman and other Council Members
Induction of new members and assist in their training and development
Preparation and review of the Council committee Charters
Preparation and implementation of the Council almanac and annual work plans
Maintain accurate records of Council deliberations, ensuring they reflect proper exercise of fiduciary duties
Perform any other duty that may be assigned by supervisor
