DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY ORAL HEALTH
Requirements for Appointment

Served in the grade of Senior Community Oral Health Officer for a minimum period of three (3) years;
Diploma in Community Oral Health from a recognized institution;
Attended a senior management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
Considerable working knowledge and experience in the provision and management of community Oral Health Services; and
Show merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and responsibilities

Organizing and managing of community and managing of community oral health services in the ministry or provincial hospital;
Ensuring adequate availability of supplies and equipment;
Undertaking technical evaluation of the impact of community oral health services; 
Supervising training and developing staff in the province/ministry or in a medical training institution;
Other duties will include teaching, training, developing curriculum in community oral health and medical institutions where the officer may be deployed to head a department/faculty; and
Review training of staff under his/her supervision.
