Reporting to the Procurement and Stores Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following amongst others:
Main Duties
Monitor the shelf life of stores, materials and support elimination of goods expires and obsolescence as well as achieves cost reduction through high stock turn over in Hospital stores.
Generate demand forecasts and plans for medicines and consumables.
Evaluate supplier lead times and establish opportunities for lead time reduction.
Evaluate stock levels, available storage space, demand, lead time and other critical parameters to optimize deliveries of medicine and other consumables.
Ensure and maintain adequate stock levels by planning and optimising stocks.
Establish and track metrics to access quality, cost and delivery performance.
Review Vendor managed inventory frameworks and implemented continuous.
Promptly resolve internal customer queries and issues to ensure excellent service delivery to final customer.
Work in coordination with general stores, Pharmacy stores and procurement to ensure optimal supply of medicines and other medical consumables.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Statistics Engineering or any Social Science.
3 years’ experience in a similar role.
Strong analytical and planning skills.
Good interpersonal and communications skills.
High level of integrity.
Conversant with Navision, Microsoft Packages, Creation of Dashboard and Reports, ERP application software and good report writing skills.
