ABOUT THE ROLE
Specific key responsibilities for the role include:

Overseeing the implementation of a Student Life strategy and providing oversight to ensure effective and efficient use of all resources assigned to student life (financial, human, etc.)
Develop and execute off-campus activities that will enrich student development, including sports and club competitions and other exchanges with partner schools and organizations
Leading the Residential Life team to develop and maintain the department’s strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the overall institutional strategic planning efforts in fulfillment of the NP mission.
Implementing and monitoring ongoing benchmarking, assessment, and innovative improvements for all Residential Life areas to improve the residential student experience.
Providing oversight on Health and safety issues within the school, including those relating to risk assessments, fire regulations and works and maintenance issues.
Build strong programs for student health and wellness, including health services on and off campus; 
Ensuring that the highest standards of discipline are maintained. You will work closely with the Principal to ensure that incidents are dealt with in the most appropriate way in order that the School’s behaviour policy is implemented consistently and effectively.
Build a rich spiritual experience for students through leading partnerships with churches and other spiritual partners;
Designing and administering policies in the residence halls.
Performing administrative duties including: creating and retaining student housing contracts, emergency contact information, room and other keys, etc.
Developing and implementing appropriate communication strategies in order to keep all members of the Residential Life Community informed regarding matters of interest, information and concern.
Liaising with security staff to ensure students’ personal safety and security.
Making and implementing schedules of residential life.
Serve as on-call contact for campus emergencies
As a people manager, you will directly supervise, coach and manage the School Nurse and four (4) Dorm Mothers.
Play a central role in building and sustaining an exceptional student and staff culture as a member of the school’s management team;
You will be provided with lodging on the campus and will be expected to be present on campus during the night and weekends.

ABOUT YOU

You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and are TSC certified
You love working with teenagers and have previously engaged with teen and youth programmes to help them develop holistically;
You have 8+ years of relevant experience with youth development in various settings such as sports coaching, mentoring/counseling, and/or teaching;
You are an exceptional champion with Nova’s culture, bringing energy, positivity and humility to your work and constantly looking to improve yourself;
You have significant experience in managing people as you will be leading a team
You have a proven record of success in high-intensity work environments
You have an awareness, understanding, and experience of issues relating to safeguarding the health, welfare, and safety of children
You have previous experience in a boarding school is a plus but not required;
