Overall Job Function
Reporting to the Data Manager, the Data Officer will be responsible for collation, validation, analysis and dissemination of timely program data and reporting of activities at CHS-supported health facilities in Muranga and Nyeri Counties
Key Responsibilities
Ensure data quality through data validation checks, including discrepancy/inconsistency checks, real-time data monitoring and data cleaning
Work closely with M&E Officers to compile weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required
Support data use activities for HIV care and treatment, testing and counseling, Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT), Key Populations, GBV, PrEP, TB
Contribute to the development and implementation of M&E data tools for MoH and CHS program areas
Monitor and validate data quality in CHS data aggregation system (CRIS)
Support Routine Data entry into Datim and 3 PM platforms
Review and verify accuracy of MoH and program data for NASCOP, PERFAR and other stakeholders
Person Specification
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in statistics, computer/IT studies, epidemiology, mathematics, Health records and information management
At least three years of relevant experience in a similar/related position in a PEPFAR funded program.
Experience in working with MoH systems and HIV-related reports
Strong Data management and analysis skills
Proficiency in computer packages for generating and analysing reports. Experience in the use of visual analytics tools is an added advantage
Expert skill level in the use of health aggregate databases (MoH DHIS2 & DATIM)
Proficient in statistical analysis packages (Excel/SPSS/STATA/R etc.)
