Job Purpose:
To ensure the highest standards of service delivery, operational excellence, and risk management in custodial services, while driving revenue growth and maintaining full regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Drive revenue growth by ensuring by ensuring 100% revenue collection for all Treasury and Custodial products.
Accurately track and manage custodial income, ensuring proper records are maintained and contributing to the growth of assets under custody.
Ensure the complete, accurate, and timely processing and settlement of all treasury deals and contracts, mitigating the risk of operational errors and financial losses.
Ensure accurate and timely opening of accounts (current, CDSC, CBK and safekeeping)
Proactively manage Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) risks within custodial services, ensuring adherence to the bank’s policies and regulatory requirements.
Ensure adherence of all the bank’s prescribed processes, standard operating procedures and central bank requirements at your level.
Ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of tasks efficiently, ensuring that deadlines are consistently met.
Maintain precise and up-to-date records for all schemes under management, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
Ensure prompt and effective resolution of client queries raised during meetings, with a commitment to resolving issues within the shortest possible time frame.
Embody the Brand and Corporate Values of the Bank in the internal and external market environment.
Work cohesively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives, fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual success.
Manage client take-on or divestiture of new business by liaising with trustees/clients and the operations team.
Facilitate client retention through proactive management.
Meet client specific requirements as per their Standing Instructions, SLA, specific instructions and internal standards.
Training of trustees where applicable.
Continuously improving custodial service offerings through innovation and a future orientation towards automation to aid in product development.
Manage investor services for revenue generation and deposit mobilization and management of custodial income collection.
Attend Trustees meetings, AGMs and any other such meetings on behalf of the bank as may be called for by the Clients in compliance with RBA regulations and present the Custodial report.
Liaison with other scheme service providers and counter parties for efficient service provision and problem resolution so as to ensure that the client’s interests are safeguarded at all time through measures such as periodic reconciliation with counter parties.
Maintain strong relationship with RBA and CMA through regular engagements and compliance reporting.
Act as an advisory to Clients and their representatives regarding regulatory changes or happenings within the industry that affect them.
Manage other bank employees who communicate with custodial services clients.
Undertake key contact point responsibilities for a portfolio of clients dealing with routine matters for the full range of custodial services.
Ensure to alert the bank of prospective sales opportunities surface from discussions with clients.
Maintain a satisfactory standard of operations as per the current custodial manual and process flows.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree holder plus CMA Securities Industry Certification (CISI), CPA or CFA.
At least 5 years banking experience in a commercial bank, including at least 2 years practical hands-on experience in Custodial Services functions.
Ability to develop productive working relationships and achieve results with deadlines.
