Role purpose
Responsible for Smallholder CP portfolio management including portfolio optimization and rationalization of existing portfolio as well as management of CP portfolio limitations to ensure full potential of Bayer’s CP Products across smallholder market segments
Responsible for management and implementation of a continuous Pipeline and Innovation flow that enable portfolio renewal to sustain long-term value creation for smallholder farmers in Africa
Responsible for the management and the co- creation of customer centric CP Portfolio solutions while translating this into a consolidated Framework to support CP business growth ambitions in Small holder markets across Africa
Key responsibilities and tasks
Cross-coordinate Small Holder CP portfolio management including evaluation of existing CP propositions and offerings, to identify Portfolio gaps and co-ordinate with relevant Customer Facing and Uni support squads to develop suitable solutions to address the smallholder portfolio gaps
Coordinate the development of Strategic Marketing initiatives to defend and grow CP business
Accelerate the SHF CP growth opportunity and contribute to viable solutions in advancing relevant strategies and solutions to advance CP business outcomes
Accelerate innovation pipeline and manage existing AIs
Work with demand Planning teams to ensure accuracy in CP products forecast and availability
Identify Key AIs in each market and proactively work to Steward and defend in collaboration with relevant unit support squads and product teams
Collaborate to drive NewPort projects for new and relevant portfolio in advancing innovation and portfolio pipeline across smallholder markets
Actively participate in regional and country portfolio discussions to address the CP needs for small holder markets
Actively track, and communicate registration timelines for CP products to all relevant Customer facing and Unit support Squads
Collaborate with other relevant Unit Support Squad teams to develop and Co-ordinate all CP launch plans

Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor Science degree in Ag/Life Sciences or related discipline or BSc Degree
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Portfolio development and management
Experience in smallholder farmer engagement and market segments
Sound corporate business acumen including strong relationship development skills
Ability to work with multiple Customer Facing Squads and unit support squads
Ability to collaborate/communicate with and develop internal and external partnerships
Highly motivated, creative, dynamic, and well organized
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with fully defined outcomes
Proven ability to influence effectively
Ability to scope and drive change and comfortable with complexity
