Key Requirements:
Support officers and managers in collection, verification and analysis of data on potential borrowers
Support the officers and managers in preparation of credit memos
Support the closing process of each approved credit transaction.
Coordinate with the capacity building team on gaps identified during the KYC/due diligence process
Critically analyze available data on loan applicants and apply financial, commercial, environmental and social criteria to assess alignment with organizational objectives
Monitor the repayment of the loans disbursed and periodically update CRM with required metrics.
Handle credit related customer queries
Perform any other duty as assigned in line with the organization’s goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
Must have Relevant bachelors’ degree or higher in a related field
Must have 2+ years of banking experience
Demonstrated ability to support portions of investment activities, including (1) screening leads, conducting due diligence, structuring and closing deals; (2) drafting related memos, scorecards, financial models and legal documents; (3) assessing social impact; and (4) leading deal discussions in decision meetings;
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues from various cultural backgrounds; great team player;
Experience in financial analysis, credit analysis, and modeling is preferred.
Experience working in banking or microfinance institutions is a must
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other similar applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with
Ability to undertake domestic travel
Authorized to work in Kenya
