Country Director

Duties:

Provide direct supervision to approximately 20 Kenyan national staff to implement the projects;
Bear all responsibilities for office management, project management, security of staff members, organization’s properties, protocols, regulations;
Take a leading role in recruitment, human resources, procurement, accountant, financial reporting to be transparent and accurate;
Liaise with stakeholders (Kenyan national government, local authorities, UN agencies, local-led organizations in communities or other agencies in respective sectors) to harmonize and coordinate project implementation;
Communicate with donors, mainly Government of Japan, on project design, budget planning, beneficiary selection, project implementation, budget consumption for accountable project running;
Report to headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, on office management and project management.

Qualifications (must);

More than 3 years’ experience in humanitarian work;
Fluent language skills, at native level, of English and Japanese (writing, listening, speaking, reading)
Work experience in project management, including supervising and leading a team of 20 or more members;
Good understanding on humanitarian work, human rights, refugees;
PC skills (especially Microsoft Office).
