Counter Sales Representatives

A key dealer in construction tools, equipment’s and chemicals company – Hardware Items is seeking to recruit a Counter Sales Representatives responsible for driving business growth through counter sales while providing world-class customer service to their clients.
Responsibilities

Responsible for using a consultative approach to sell, create and close on new opportunities while meeting and progressively exceeding sales targets
Build a sales strategy to ensure both long- and short-term goals and objectives are met.
Ensure the availability of stock for sales and demonstrations through prudent stock management.
Determine customers’ business requirements and whether the products being considered are suitable to meet the customer’s needs
Negotiate/close deals at the counter and build rapport to customer loyalty while conclusively handle complaints or objections and escalate issues requiring further assistance to achieve better results.
Cultivate team efforts and collaborate with team members to achieve better results
Develop and cultivate long term relationships with both new and existing customers while achieving profit and revenue objectives
Document issues and resolutions as realized for trend analysis and lessons learned capture
Identifies product improvements or new products by gathering feedback from customers or prospects, remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.

Qualifications

At least one year proven successful sales experience in a performance based environment with basic knowledge of the capital goods (hardware) industry and the ability to learn and present hardware items to customers.
At least a Diploma or bachelor’s in Business or any other related field.
A mature person with exceptional customer service and negotiation skills.
The desire and ability to have an impactful conversation with clients on their needs and requirements with a keen interest in capital good or hardware items
Highly motivated and assertive person who is a self-starter exhibiting a strong sense of urgency.
Enjoys working in a team-oriented environment and highly motivated to achieve positive results and common sales goals.
The ability to write reports and proposals

Compensation
A guiding salary of Kes 30,000.00 with commissions will be offered to the best candidates
