Minimum Qualifications and experience:

Certificate in food production/catering from a recognised institution.
3 years’ experience as a cook in a school or large institution.
Covid 19 vaccination Certificate and relevant public health immunisation.
Health and Safety Training.
Basic First Aid Training.
Experience with vegetarian meals.

Experience

Ability to observe high standards of hygiene when preparing and handling food in the kitchen.
Ability to handle and clean up large cooking utensils.
Good knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
Observing Health & safety and manufacture guidelines when handling kitchen equipment.

Person Specification:

Good communication; able to understand verbal and written instructions.
High level of physical fitness and good stamina.
Quick to move around and able to multi-task.
Ability to stand long hours.
Good personal hygiene.
Good time keeping and attendance.
A good team player.
