Consultant Trainer – IT Governance and IT Service Management

Key Responsibilities

Develop and Deliver Comprehensive IT Governance and ITSM Training

Create and facilitate training programs covering IT governance frameworks (such as COBIT or ISO/IEC 38500) and IT service management methodologies (e.g., ITIL, ISO/IEC 20000).
Deliver sessions tailored to various organizational contexts, focusing on governance structures, process design, and service delivery excellence.

Guide Practical Implementation Techniques

Provide hands-on exercises, case studies, and simulations reflecting real-world IT governance and service management challenges.
Teach participants how to align IT processes with business objectives to enhance performance and compliance.

Update and Refine Course Materials

Continuously revise training content to reflect emerging trends in IT governance and service management.
Incorporate best practices for framework adoption, process optimization, and continuous service improvement.

Share Insights from Leading Frameworks and Standards

Offer in-depth expertise on widely recognized governance and service management approaches, highlighting key principles and implementation strategies (COBIT 2019, ITIL 4, ISO/IEC 20000, etc.).
Help participants compare different frameworks and select the most suitable for their organizational needs.

 Foster a Collaborative Learning Environment

Utilize interactive teaching methods, including group discussions, simulations, and team projects, to engage participants.
Ensure learners leave with actionable skills they can apply immediately to improve governance, risk management, and IT service quality.

Minimum Qualifications and Professional Experience

Educational Background

A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
Certifications in IT governance or service management (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, ISO/IEC 20000) are highly desirable.

Professional Experience

At least 3 years of hands-on experience in implementing IT governance frameworks and/or IT service management processes.
Proven expertise in one or more leading frameworks (COBIT, ITIL) and familiarity with related tools and standards (ISO/IEC 20000, ISO/IEC 38500).
Experience in training or consulting on IT governance or service management practices is a strong advantage.

Skills & Expertise

Strong knowledge of IT governance principles, risk management, compliance strategies, and IT service management lifecycle stages.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and governance concepts into practical training.
Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design techniques.
