Duties and responsibilities
Diagnosis, treating and managing conditions that affect kidney functions.
Conducting ward rounds in the dialysis unit.
Running out patient renal clinics and surgeries in the County Hospital.
Supervising renal medical officer and nephrology department.
Conducting renal research and carrying out root cause analysis.
Inserting temporary Ultrasound guided kidney biopsies and related procedures.
Create Guidelines and SOPs within renal unit.
Form multi-disciplinary clinical plans of management to include nutritionists, counselors, and physiotherapy.
Any other duties assigned from time to time.
Requirements for Appointment
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.CH. B) from an institution recognized by KMPDU.
Master of Medicine in Nephrology (MMed. Nephrology) from an Institution recognized in Kenya
Be a member of Kenya Renal Association.
Must be registered with KMPDU and a recognized nephrologist
Served for a Minimum of three (3) years at Job Group ‘P’ or its approved equivalent.
Have Knowledge in use of technology devices and tools in the department
