Purpose of consultancy
The consultant will contribute to the work of VAX and assist with key activities contributing to the evaluation for Prequalification (PQ) and post-PQ monitoring activities of IMD in accordance with the WHO IMD Performance, Quality and Safety (PQS) 2019-2023 Strategy
Deliverables:
Deliverable 1:
Organize the WHO PQS Working Group meetings and stakeholder meetings.
Plan and track the WHO PQS Technical Working Group activities and outputs including capturing and track and reporting key decision points and action items from WHO PQS meetings.
Track progress made on WHO PQS Working Group work plans and strategic objectives.
Deliverable 2:
Consolidate industry reviews of WHO PQS specifications, verification protocols and technical guidance documents.
Deliverable 3:
Schedule WHO PQS meetings and consultations; technical dossier reviews, Working Groups, PQS IMD Manufacturers consultations, Partner coordination with UNICEF Supply Division, UNICEF Programme Division, GAVI, Interagency Supply Chain Group, Technet.
Deliverable 4:
Prepare pre-AR documents and forms for each prequalified manufacturer and product, pre-review AR applications for complementation and follow-up with manufactures.
Deliverable 5:
Create, consolidate, edit, finalize, and publish WHO PQS IMD documentation (e.g., specifications, testing protocols, resource materials, target product profiles, and WHO PQS IMD website content).
Deliverable 6:
Create tracking tools to capture and report on key performance indicators, and progress made on WHO PQS Strategy goals and targets. Report on WHO PQS key performance indicators.
Track consultant deliverables.
Deliverable 7:
Review completeness of Product Dossier submissions.
Deliverable 8:
Update WHO PQS databases and document repositories.
Deliverable 9:
Collate, aggregate, and report Post Market Monitoring (PMM) feedback data, reports, UNICEF Supply Division Quality Assurance Reports, Annual reviews submissions of equipment and device performance failures.
Qualifications, experience, skills and languages.
Educational Qualifications:
Essential:
Advanced degree in public health.
Experience
Essential:
At least 7 years of relevant experience in public health.
Desirable:
Experience working in multiple countries/international environment.
Experience with immunization project management at the global level.
Experience in producing guidelines.
Skills/Knowledge:
Delivers clear, concise and coherent messages – written and verbally – which are adapted to the intended audience.
Strong time management and project management skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently to meet program needs.
Ability to work as a team member, while managing competing interests and priorities.
