Core Functions / Responsibilities:
The core duties shall include the following:
Assist in maintaining regular communication with donors to ensure clear expectations and quality delivery of programming.
Prepare and present quarterly progress reports to donors, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and planned activities.
Organize and participate in quarterly review meetings with donors to discuss project progress and address any concerns.
Facilitate regular coordination meetings with consortium partners to ensure alignment of activities and strategies.
Develop and maintain an updated coordination calendar, including key events, deadlines, and meetings.
Provide ongoing support to consortium partners to address their coordination needs and ensure effective collaboration.
Monitor closely project expenditures versus projections, and follow-up with relevant parties as necessary.
Create and maintain a repository of best practices, lessons learned, and case studies for consortium partners.
Facilitate regular knowledge-sharing sessions to promote the exchange of experiences and learning among partners.
Establish and maintain connections with other Durable Solutions programs to align strategies and activities.
Participate in relevant coordination forums and working groups to represent the consortium and share updates.
Develop detailed project implementation plans, including timelines, roles, and responsibilities.
Support the development and refinement of the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework.
Regularly review M&E data with the Reporting Monitoring Officer to track project progress and identify areas for improvement.
Plan and conduct field visits to monitor project activities and gather feedback from beneficiaries and stakeholders.
Coordinate the preparation and submission of high-quality project reports, ensuring they meet donor requirements and deadlines.
Review and provide feedback on reports from consortium partners to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Attend meetings with government authorities and donors to represent the consortium and advocate for the Consortium priorities.
Build and maintain relationships with key government stakeholders to facilitate project implementation.
Work closely with government counterparts to align project activities with national priorities and policies.
Facilitate regular meetings and consultations with government representatives to ensure their ongoing engagement and support.
Timeliness and Deadline Compliance: measure the ability to complete tasks and deliver reports, studies, and reviews within the established deadlines.

Required
Education
Master’s degree in relevant fields such as Political or Social Science, International Relations, International Development, or related areas, with at five years of relevant professional experience; or
University degree with at least seven years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
Experience working in the field of displacement and durable solutions, development, displacement, peacebuilding, community resilience, and related fields.
Demonstrable multi-stakeholder coordination experience.
Experience in operational activities in a complex crisis or post-crisis setting.
Experience in project design, implementation, and management.
Experience liaising with specialized international agencies (UN agencies, international organizations, and international specialized NGOs).
Knowledge of UN, IOM, international organizations and NGOs mandates and programmes in the field of displacement, durable solutions, and community resilience.
Experience working in the country or region is an advantage
Skills
Familiarity with the aid system, and ability to understand donor and governmental requirement
Knowledge of working in conflict/volatile contexts on durable solutions and/or community stabilization in Somalia.
Excellent representation and relationship management skills
Excellent and demonstrable project management, analytical, communication and writing skills.
Languages
Fluency in English (oral and written).
Working knowledge of Somali is an advantage.
Travel required
Frequent travel to Somalia required up to 50% per month.
